Gnosis – The annual student research forum of the Department of English

Gnosis, the annual student research forum of the Department of English was held on the 18th of November 2016 at the Humanities Faculty Board room from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm. Eighteen group and individual research projects conducted by the students were presented at this forum. The forum was the culmination of a final year compulsory course, Research Methods in Literary Language Studies. This forum was held with financial assistance from the Research Council of the university. This is the third consecutive year that Gnosis was held by the Department of English. Professor Lakshman Senevirathne, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Senior Lecturer Dinali Fernando, Head of the Department of English, the academic staff and students participated in this event.
