The International Lecture Series- 6th lecture- Centre for Asian Studies

A special lecture on “Safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development and Cross-Cultural Communication (some significant examples from India)” was conducted by Dr Lopamudra Maitra Bajpai of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) on the 31st of May at the Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences. This was the 6th lecture of the International Lecture Series organised by the Centre for Asian Studies of the University of Kelaniya.

This event was participated by academic staff members including Prof. Anura Manatunga, the Director of the Centre for Asian Studies, Prof. Uda Hettige, the Head of the Department of Archaeology, Prof. Mapa Thilakarathne, the Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Prof. B. D. Nandadeva of the Visual Arts & Design and Performing Arts Unit, Prof. I. Kamani Jayasekara of the Department of Western Classic Culture & Christian Culture and undergraduates.
