Calling Application for Higher Diploma in Trilingual Studies 2017/2019
Application forms and the details for the above course can be obtained from the Department of Linguistics from 11.09.2017 to 09.10.2017
- The objective of this programme is to improve the writing skills of the 1st language (Sinhala or Tamil) of the candidate and to give necessary knowledge and practice in speaking and writing skills of the 2nd languages (Tamil / Sinhala / English). A knowledge in Language Teaching Methods and Translation Methods of those relevant languages too will be given in due course.
Duration: Two academic years (Sunday 9.00 am. to 4.00 pm)
Course fee: Rs. 82,500/= (eighty two thousand five hundred rupees only) The first instalment which is Rs. 42,500.00 (forty two thousand five hundred rupees) has to be paid at the time of registration and the second and third installments which are Rs.20,000.00 each (twenty thousand rupees) has to be paid within six months from registration.
Eligibility: Three passes at the GCE (A/L) with three subjects in one sitting or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University.
Commencement: December 2017
How to Apply: Applications and course details can be obtained from the Department of Linguistics either by handing over the bank receipt issued upon the payment of Rs.750.00 from any branch of People’s Bank to the recurrent account of the University of Kelaniya numbered 055 -1- 001- 1- 0667549 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope 9"x4" in size along with the said bank receipt to the address given below, on or before the 2017. 10. 09. (Course name has to be mentioned in the bank receipt and the envelope). The application is available for downloading at www.kln.ac.lk and the bank receipt has to be sent along with the filled application.
Completed applications should be sent by registered post to reach the Coordinator, Higher Diploma in Trilingual Studies, Department of Linguistics, University of Kelaniya, on or before 23rd October 2017. The name of the course must be indicated at the top left hand corner of the Envelop. Incomplete or late applications will be rejected.
Applicants will be called for an interview in due course.
