A presentation and discussion on the #SkillsUpSriLanka mass media campaign

The Coordinating Centre for Students with Disabilities (CCSD) together with the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Kelaniya and in collaboration with World University Service Canada (WUSC) organized an event to introduce ‘#SkillUpSriLanka’, a mass media campaign launched by WUSC. Ms. Judy Deepan and Ms. Esther McIntosh of WUSC made a presentation on the campaign followed by a discussion on the representation of gender and disability within the campaign advertisements. The event was held on the 28th of September 2017 at the Department of English Language Teaching. This event was attended by Esther McIntosh, Judy Deepan, Puvaneswary Ponniah, Sanjeewa Sudesh, Lakshya Dhungana, Mangala Rajapakse and H. Manage of WUSC, Shyamani Hettiarachchi of CCSD and a group of first and second year undergraduate students.
