Prof. Thomas Panagopoulus at the University of Kelaniya as a Guest Lecturer

Erasmus+ Merging Voices Project Academic Staff Mobility Grantee Prof. Thomas Panagopoules was attached to the Department of Zoology and Environment Management, Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya as a guest lecturer from 22nd to 26th of October 2018.

Prof. Thomas Panagopoulus from the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Algarve, is an expert in Landscape and Environmental Science. He was also a plenary speaker at the International Research Symposium on Pure and Applied Sciences- IRSPAS 2018.

A special discussion between Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya and Prof. Panagopoulus was held on the 26th of October 2018 at the Office of the Vice- Chancellor. Strengthening the cooperation between the University of Kelaniya and the University of Algarve was emphasized at the meeting.

Present at the occasion were Prof. Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director- Centre for International Affairs, Prof. G.A.S.M. Ganehiarachchi, Head- Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Prof. Deepika Amarasinghe and Ms. Sashini Chandrasekara, Coordinator- International Cooperation.

The meeting was organized by the Centre for International Affairs in collaboration with the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management.
