In order to carry out research activities on the themes adopted by the Centre, the following programmes have been recognized. The Centre looks forward to collaborations with other national and international institutes as well as individual scholars in the formulation of these programmes. .
1. Formulation of research projects

3. Organizing conferences in national, regional and international levels
4. Arranging seminars, guest lectures and memorial speeches
5. Exchange of students and scholars
6. Publication of a research journal, books and monographs
7. Editing a series of introductory books on Asia related topics in Sinhala and Tamil
8. Introducing Sri Lankan heritage in other Asian languages
9. Facilitating Cultural shows, festivals and exhibitions
10. Maintaining an information network on Asian studies
