- Call for Papers


Kelaniya Journal of Human Resource Management, a bi-annual publication is the Journal of the Department of Human Resource Management of the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. It is the first of its kind launched by an Academic Department of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies of the University. This has earned great recognition as it is published in January and July, by one of the oldest and well established national universities in the country.

It is a forum created for intellectuals, providing opportunity for integration of diverse perspectives in Business Management with special focus on Human Resource Management and has earned increased recognition from both the industry and the academia at present. We have been able to successfully build a synergy between knowledge, research and continuous development through this initiative.

Journal is dedicated to provide grounds for work of researchers from, both local as well as foreign in the field of Human Resource Management and other related disciplines such as Human Resource Development, Management, Organizational Behavior, Industrial Physiology, Sociology, Industrial Relations, Legal aspects of HRM, Entrepreneurship Management, Labour Economics, Information Technology for HRM, Marketing for HRM, Total Quality Management, Strategic Management and Any other areas related to HRM.

The twofold purpose of the Journal is to foster the scholarly efforts of researchers in the field of HRM as well as to disseminate knowledge to share the learning experiences of scholars. The Journal not only bridges the gap between knowledge and experience, but has the benefit of laying the groundwork for career exploration and development especially for academics. The rare opportunity to publish in a Refereed Journal is an added value to one’s career as well as a contribution to the development of the society.

All articles submitted by authors are peer reviewed by referees prior to publication, in order to ensure quality and accuracy. No responsibility is assumed by the Department of Human Resource Management of the University of Kelaniya or the Editorial Board for data, statements and opinions appearing in articles and the sole responsibility lies with the respective authors.

The Editorial Board of the Kelaniya Journal of HRM is inviting scholars to submit papers for consideration. Papers or Articles could be Research Papers, Short Communications or Review Papers. Submissions are accepted for review on an ongoing basis (no specific deadline) if you do not wish to publish your article in a specific issue. If you are keen on publishing your articles in the July2013 issue the papers should reach us before 30th August 2014. This is a great opportunity for you to grab, as this chance is offered to you absolutely at no cost.
