Digital Dreams 2010 competition was held at University of Kelaniya on 23 August by Department of Physics, University of Kelaniya, to demonstrate the talents of young undergraduate students who are following courses in the Electronic stream. The main objective of this project was to provide an opportunity for our students to apply their theoretical knowledge for real world practical experience in mechanics, engineering and electronics that involves a display of remote control devices. Dr (Mrs) W J M Samaranayaka has been awarded the IOP-PPCF Prize for Best Poster for experimental and numerical work on the investigation of ozone production in a plasma discharge for environmental and medical applications by a young researcher in connection with the 2009 Summer College on Plasma Physics held at the ICTP from 10 to 28 August 2009. |
