discovered that integrating machine learning models with social media data significantly improves the prediction of tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka, compared to forecasts obtained using traditional statistical methods, particularly during the tumultuous period of 2019-2021. This pioneering study offers practical implications for stakeholders in the tourism industry, enabling informed and resilient decision-making in Sri Lanka's dynamic tourism sector.
