“Junior Research Symposium 2016” of the Western Classical Culture and Christian Culture Studies Department

The Junior Research Symposium of the Western Classical Culture and Christian Culture Studies Department of the Faculty of Humanities was held at the Faculty premises on 9th June 2016.
The objective of this symposium was to encourage and train the undergraduates in conducting research and the keynote address was delivered by Dr.Shanthikumara Hettiarachchi, an eminent researcher at Melbourne University, Australia.
Senior Professor Sunanda Madduma Bandara, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof.MJS Wijerathne, the Chairman of the Research Council, Dr. Prashanthi Narangoda, the Director of the Research Center of the Faculty of Humanities, Mr. P. Vijith Rohan Fernando, Head and Senior Lecturer of the Western Classical Culture and Christian Culture Studies Department, members of the academic staff and undergraduates were present at this occasion.
